What are the important laws concerning Aadhaar e-Sign API?

In accordance with the Second Schedule of the Information Technology Act, 2010 (IT Act), Aadhaar eSigns are accepted as a secure e-signature method. Electronic Authentication Technique and Procedure Rules, 2015 on Gazette Notification No. 2015 Jan -GSR 61(E) also emphasizes its acceptance as a valid method.

Any individual or business representative whose Aadhaar is linked with her mobile phone number can access the Aadhaar eSign API. The Aadhaar number provided must be valid.

Are there any requirements for it to work?

You only need the valid Aadhaar number and the linked mobile phone number access. Once the Aadhaar number is generated, the OTP is sent on the linked mobile phone number. This OTP is to be provided and the e-Signed document will be generated.
